What an amazing restaurant this is. They are always so busy, but nothing is ever too much trouble! I am a coeliac who hasn't found a steak and ale pie better anywhere else. Cooked specially, there is a bit of an expected wait, but food, service and smiles never disappoint! It's worth the 32 mile journey every time!! A HUGE thank you to the chef and all the staff

I had the chargrilled veg salad and it was easily the best salad I’ve ever had. It’s hard to find vegetarian food not layered in cheese and this was just fantastic. It’s also incredibly reasonable at just 17 for two mains a side and two drinks. I will be returning.

Brought a small service dog, front door says “service dogs welcome” Multiple staff approached us and made us wait until they asked other staff which were already fine with it. The food is really good, 8 for 2 cakes and a milkshake. Kids play place costs 2 for entry even though it was only a small kids cafe play place. A great view, nice outdoor seating which can only be accessed through the cafe. Overall it has amazing views, great food and a relaxed yet busy surroundings, the queues pass very fast. 5*

I chose the Scone Deal, coffee & a scone with, butter, jam & Welsh clotted cream, great value at 5.99, tasty too. The scone although a bit wonky was large enough to get 3 slices out of it The menu looked great, must call back & have a meal. Well here we are a few weeks down the line & this morning I had the misfortune to order the scrambled eggs on toast, it was the most driest, tasteless scrambled eggs I’ve ever had, that just fragmented into small dry lumps over the plate, I probably ate about 4 fork fulls, well as full as you can with dry eggs, it was piled up on a single slice of sourdough that had only been toasted on the one the side so having had the egg piled on was just a really soft slice of bread. I didn’t complain at the time as I had things to do but I did mention to one of the staff clearing up. I’ll will continue to eat there as the food does look good & the couples breakfasts on the next table looked ok.

Lovely hot food, very friendly staff. My only negative is it is never very warm here, I appreciate it is difficult in the type of building and with lots of doors, but would make it much more pleasant if this could be overcome. Otherwise a great experience.

Had lunch whilst shopping. Staff polite and efficient. I had BLT sandwich, fresh and full of flavour although bacon was slightly overdone and crispy for my liking. Wife had coronation chicken, which was amazing! Overall fantastic food and service.
